Post-performance vibes were in full swing, and Wang Ke was the brains behind the next move – a light snack pitstop before diving into a proper dinner later. Zhou Zheng, feeling celebratory, popped open a champagne bottle, and things escalated quickly with cake smearing galore. Faces got a frosting makeover, marking the victorious end to today’s event. Meanwhile, Mo Qingcheng escorted Gu Sheng backstage to the dressing room. Breaking character as Qing Qing Ci, he dropped a heartfelt thank you to the entire squad for tonight’s stellar show. The gang, who had only heard whispers of Qing Qing Ci’s name, were buzzing with excitement, eager for autographs and photos. Mo Qingcheng, ever the crowd-pleaser, graciously obliged to every request. Watching from the sidelines, Gu Sheng couldn’t help but feel a surge of happiness for Mo Qingcheng. It seemed like this was his grand finale as Qing Qing Ci in front of everyone, and he looked like he finally let go.

Post-dinner, Mo Qingcheng played the dutiful escort, accompanying Gu Sheng to the supermarket. Gu Sheng seized the opportunity to get Mo Qingcheng’s John Hancock on the poster she scored from Fei Shao and casually mentioned her grandpa’s invite to their home. Mo Qingcheng, with a grin, gladly accepted but slipped in that he had a branch visit on the agenda tomorrow. No worries for Gu Sheng; she declared a class-free day and promised to hit up the branch to find him. In the supermarket, Gu Sheng bumped into Dong Yi Ru, and her cousin spilled the tea – Dong Yi Ru was in the dumps about her idol retiring and decided to sit this one out. Gu Sheng stashed the poster, now inked by Mo Qingcheng, in a drawer and tasked him with handing it over to Dong Yi Ru the next morning.

Bright and early, as the workday was winding down, Gu Sheng swung by the branch to track down Mo Qingcheng. Playing it cool, she strolled into Mo Qingcheng’s office, tossing out jokes about adding another appointment. She spun a tale about five overprotective older brothers putting the brakes on her dating life, and now her heart was doing the cha-cha. How to cure it, she asked? Mo Qingcheng, playing along, advised her to let her boyfriend handle such matters, hinting she should chill. He also suggested skipping the electrocardiogram and instead opting for dinner together. Gu Sheng, with a knowing smile, played along. A nurse popped in for Mo Qingcheng’s signature and eavesdropped on their convo. Thinking Mo Qingcheng was making dinner plans with a patient, she couldn’t contain her curiosity. Mo Qingcheng, now in regular clothes, introduced Gu Sheng to the nurse, and the truth finally dawned. He playfully scolded Gu Sheng for pulling off the patient impersonation stunt, nearly putting his rep in jeopardy.

Gu Sheng’s grandpa and five brothers were on standby at home, ready for inspection. The eldest brother even cut short a business trip just to vet Gu Sheng’s newfound friend thoroughly. Mo Qingcheng, making his debut at Casa Gu Sheng, brought along the customary gifts. Parking was a bit of an issue, so Gu Sheng summoned her brothers to handle the gift reception and allowed Mo Qingcheng to park in a nearby lot.

Into the house they went, where grandpa and the five bros were on interrogation duty. Questions about Mo Qingcheng’s connection with Gu Sheng flew fast and furious. The eldest bro, skeptical of their brief acquaintance, got the lowdown from Mo Qingcheng – they go way back, all the way to the first song Gu Sheng penned. Mo Qingcheng, once a secret admirer of Gu Sheng, got the green light from the family crew. They dispatched a few bros for grocery duty, leaving Gu Sheng’s cousin to chat with the duo. As a bonus, an undercover family informant was on the case, figuring out what they were up to.

Worried her brothers might unleash an arsenal of embarrassing questions, Gu Sheng pulled a tactical retreat, making up an excuse to take Mo Qingcheng upstairs to check out her bedroom. She even whisked him away to the rooftop, reminiscing about the time she got mistaken for a rooftop jumper, prompting a police intervention. The bros returned with groceries, but alas, they were not culinary wizards. Time for Mo Qingcheng to flex his kitchen skills. Gu Sheng shooed her bros out of the kitchen, and Mo Qingcheng went to work, whipping up a feast that earned him rave reviews from grandpa and the brothers. His first visit to the family fortress was a resounding success.

Post-dinner, Gu Sheng dragged Mo Qingcheng to meet Dong Yi Ru. Upon hearing Mo Qingcheng’s voice, Dong Yi Ru was shell-shocked. Learning that Mo Qingcheng was none other than Qing Qing Ci, she hit peak excitement and was on the verge of happy tears. Still reeling from Qing Qing Ci’s retirement, today’s double whammy of Gu Sheng leaving was a lot for her. Realizing her earlier misunderstanding, Dong Yi Ru insisted on treating everyone, loading them up with goodies for Mo Qingcheng and the studio crew. Gu Sheng tried to protest, but Mo Qingcheng opted for a grateful acceptance instead. And that’s a wrap on this heartwarming hangout session!
