What is I May Love You’s Story?
This TV series is an adaptation of the novel by Mo Yan Chuan, sharing the same title. It narrates the tale of Tang Xin, a scriptwriter harboring feelings for her boss, Tang Yu, over an extended period. However, Tang Yu is romantically interested in her best friend, prompting Tang Xin to keep her unreciprocated emotions concealed. This changes when her friend rejects Tang Yu, leading Tang Xin to believe it’s her opportunity to express her true feelings. Yet, recognizing the impossibility of a relationship with Tang Yu and wounded by his rejection, she decides to resign and move forward. However, Tang Yu is unsettled by Tang Xin’s departure. The unfolding events explore the dynamics between these two characters as Tang Xin endeavors to distance herself from him, and Tang Yu attempts to draw her back into his life.
