Is Shengshengman’s in a Relationship?

In Episode 6, Shengshengman returns to her studio after recording a song with Qiang Qingci, and the atmosphere is charged with curiosity and speculation. The studio members, including Zhou Zheng and others, are eager to know the details of the collaboration, especially given Qiang Qingci’s status as an idol.

Shengshengman tries to downplay the significance of the recording session, emphasizing that it was purely a business arrangement. She mentions that Qiang Qingci came to their channel to discuss the song they recorded, and she dismisses any romantic interpretations, attributing the collaboration to the simplicity of the business transaction.

Despite Shengshengman’s attempts to brush off the speculation, the studio members, particularly Zhou Zheng, continue to express curiosity and humorously suggest that there might be more to the story. Shengshengman remains firm in her stance that it was a professional collaboration and that Qiang Qingci’s visit was centered around the music they recorded.

The dynamic in the studio reflects a mix of playful banter and genuine interest in Shengshengman’s interactions with the popular idol. This subplot adds an element of intrigue to the episode, as the characters navigate the complexities of professional collaborations and the possible blurred lines between business and personal relationships. The studio scene contributes to the overall charm and humor of the episode while keeping the focus on the central narrative of Shengshengman and Qiang Qingci’s collaboration.

Valentine’s Day

At Shengshengman’s studio, they also discuss plans for Valentine’s Day. The tone of the conversation is lighthearted, with the characters teasing each other about their relationship status. The dialogue highlights the diverse attitudes towards Valentine’s Day within the group, ranging from those with plans to those who see it as just another day. The characters’ dynamics contribute to the episode’s overall humor and camaraderie.

Meanwhile, at the Perfect Voice Studio, the group plans to meet for dinner on Valentine’s Day, but several members, including Doudou and Juemei, are busy with other commitments. The discussion touches on relationships, blind dates, and the challenges of finding a romantic partner.

Hiding Qiang Qinci / Mo Qingcheng’s identity

At the supermarket, Yiru the new shop attendant discusses with her friend on the phone the song released by Qiang Qinci and the fact he added Shengshengman to the lyrics. “How far have they gone”, she asks. She emphasises the fact that it was the first time doing so and that he might have met his true love. In the meantime, Shengsheng is listening to the discussion when she sees Qiang Qinci alias Mo Qingcheng getting through the door of the supermarket. Shengsheng quickly tells him not to speak or she would recognize his voice. It was a pretty funny moment as she tried to guess what he wanted to buy without letting him talk. Luckily Yiru still doesn’t know that her friend at the supermarket is Shengshengman! Shengsheng also meets her cousin and tries to hide that she’s friends with Mo Qingcheng, who’s the guy they saw protecting his colleagues in the middle of the street. She hands him snacks and they decide to go take some milk tea while Yiru and Shengsheng’s cousin are looking at them from the shop. It’s funny how Yuri thinks that Shengsheng doesn’t let him speak to other girls thinking they’re in a relationship.

Mo Qingcheng’s Plans for Valentines Day

At the hospital, Mo Qingcheng is invited for a dinner of single friends for Valentine’s Day but he declines as he says he already made arrangements. Jumei contacts Xing for the contract but he seems to be interested in her. They end up agreeing to meet on Valentine’s Day without realising complications and putting pressure on their encounter.

Finally, on Valentine’s Day Mo Qingcheng goes to meet Gu Sheng at University and they hop in his car. She asks whether they will meet with Doudou and Juemei but he denies it saying they’re all busy. She’s playing the innocent card or maybe she’s too naive to understand that this was more than a casual encounter for him. He shows her his residential compound and she’s confused about how and if they will go to the exhibition. He usually lives at the studio on weekdays and in an apartment with Juemei for the weekend. Gu Sheng discovered that Mo Qingcheng had brought her to the residential area to park the car, and a wave of relief washed over her. Mo Qingcheng subtly suggested exchanging phone numbers so that they could phone if they got lost in the crowd.

In summary, Episode 6 delves into the evolving connection between Shengshengman and Qiang Qingci, generating curiosity and speculation among the characters. The episode successfully blends elements of romance, humor, and anticipation, creating a compelling narrative that keeps viewers engaged.
