From the last episode, we left Cheng Yao facing a financial crisis, that led her to sleep in the company’s storage room to save money. Despite the eerie atmosphere, Cheng Yao manages to spend the night there. Meanwhile, Qian Heng struggles with insomnia and resorts to working overtime at the law firm.
Cheng Yao hides upon seeing Qian Heng entering the office early in the morning. Wanting to avoid his wrath, she returns to the storage room after he leaves. Qian Heng seeks help for his insomnia, but the results are not promising.
Cheng Yao, sleep-deprived, faces the new challenges of the workplace. Her colleagues wonder about how much she’ll resist under Qian Heng’s leadership. She tries to hide her dark under-eye circles to make a good impression. And the banter between the two leads continues… How will it end?
During a meeting about a divorce case’s property division, Qian Heng assigned Cheng Yao and Bao Rui a divorce case where they needed to divide a property. Chang Yao and Bao Rui put them in competition for the case and despite Yao’s effort, she faces criticism afterward. She remained optimistic, unaware of all the gossip about her at the office. Cheng Yao also faked working overtime, leading to a humorous encounter with Qian Heng. In the meantime, we meet Wu Jun a guy with hidden motives. He visited the law firm intending to target Chen Xi, Yao’s sister.
Finally, Heng discovered Yao sleeping at the office. Cheng Yao pleads with Qian Heng to stay until she finds a new residence. He reluctantly agrees.
The next morning, Cheng Yao, trying to impress Qian Heng, makes breakfast and offers him coffee. The next morning she tried to impress Heng by preparing him breakfast and coffee but her efforts were in vain as she had to face his harsh words. He eventually surprised her by agreeing to let her work on a case but ends up assisting Bao Rui due to his broken foot.
Cheng Yao went to gather information despite the heavy rain. At the office, there’s a power outage and asks Heng to use his bathroom at home. Yao cooked a late-night snack for Heng but did not realize she disturbed his peaceful sleep.
The episode ended with some unexpected kind moments between the two leads Yao and Heng.
