Qin Moyao’s Calm Response
Chi Shan takes a confrontational stance and threatens to report Qin Moyao for fraud. However, Qin Moyao remains composed and hands his phone to Chi Shan, suggesting that he should call the police if he believes he’s committed a crime. He even reminds Chi Shan that they could jointly report Lin Guofu’s death, catching Chi Shan off guard. Qin Moyao astutely points out that Lin Xintong had kept a lock of her father’s hair when he was buried, and the cause of his death would soon be revealed through examination. With a parting note, Qin Moyao suggests to Chi Shan that this time, he has essentially lost to himself and owes himself money, leaving a memorable message.

Lin Xintong, accompanied by Qin Moyao and Zhou Mo, reviews surveillance footage in her quest for evidence. Later, Lin Xintong takes a bold step and investigates Chi Shan’s room in search of evidence. Chi Shan unexpectedly walks in, and Lin Xintong quickly concocts a lie, explaining that she came to retrieve a seal. Chi Shan eyes her suspiciously and uses a pen to test if Lin Xintong has indeed regained her sight. Fortunately, Lin Xintong skillfully deceives him.
A Protective Embrace
A concerned Qin Moyao rushes to the scene and whisks Lin Xintong away to safety, scolding her for taking such risks alone. In a heartfelt moment, Lin Xintong kisses him, expressing her concern for his safety. Qin Moyao reciprocates the kiss, his heart racing, and mentions that she is making their act seem all too real.
A Mother’s Comfort
Zhou Mo attempts to persuade Qin Moyao to distance himself from Lin Xintong, citing the dangers involved. However, Qin Moyao adamantly refuses to leave her side. Later, Lin Xintong accompanies Qin Moyao on a visit to his mother. After learning about the hardships Qin Moyao has faced, she offers words of solace and comfort. In response, Qin Moyao tightly embraces Lin Xintong.
