Heo Jin stepped into the bustling lobby of Gaiasha, his heart pounding with anticipation. Word had spread that they were recruiting staff for the new movie, “City of Time,” directed by none other than his mother, Liang Wan-Ting. Heo Jin’s excitement bubbled over as he made his way to the screening room, eager to finally meet his mother and reconnect with her after years of separation.

Meanwhile, in a different part of the city, Xu Zhen nervously adjusted her outfit as she prepared for her first day at Gaiasha. After the disappointment of her initial visit, she was determined to make a good impression on her mother and prove that she was worthy of being part of her world.

As the screening room filled with aspiring candidates, Heo Jin’s eyes scanned the room anxiously, searching for any sign of his mother. But as the lights dimmed and the film began to play, his attention was drawn to a familiar face in the crowd.

Zhang Shiyu, a member of the film crew, had taken notice of Xu Zhen during her previous visit and had been impressed by her determination. Seeing her again, he felt a spark of admiration for her courage and decided to take a chance on her.

Back at Gaiasha, Xu Zhen’s first day got off to a rocky start as she navigated the intricacies of her new role as Gu Jijun’s assistant. Despite her best efforts to prove herself, Gu Jijun remained adamantly against the idea of having her on set, his cold demeanor sending a chill down Xu Zhen’s spine.

But Xu Zhen was not one to back down from a challenge. With determination and perseverance, she set out to prove her worth to Gu Jijun and the rest of the crew, determined to show them that she was more than just the daughter of Liang Wan-Ting.

Meanwhile, Koshin, another aspiring assistant, found herself facing unexpected challenges in her quest to become Gu Jijun’s assistant. With the help of her childhood friend, Shinshu Hayashi, she had hoped to impress her way into the role. But instead of support, she found herself facing harassment from her selfish boss, leaving her feeling defeated and disillusioned.
