In this episode, Qian Heng, concerned about Lin Fengjuan’s case, offers to find a solution upon his return. However, Cheng Yao, determined to take charge, decides to investigate the hospital that issued the fake certificate herself. To avoid suspicion, Cheng Yao, Yu Fei, and Tan Ying pretend to be a DINK couple, only to discover that Lu Jian, one of the shareholders of the hospital, makes the investigation challenging.
Lu Jian seeks Deng Ming’s advice on handling Cheng Yao’s evidence collection. Deng Ming, aiming for a quick resolution, devises a plan to create cyber violence, tarnishing Lin Fengjuan’s image online. This leads to Lin Fengjuan feeling pressured and eventually agreeing to withdraw the lawsuit. Cheng Yao, unwilling to accept this, gathers support from Yu Fei and Tan Ying to counter Deng Ming’s tactics.
When Lin Fengjuan is attacked by a group claiming to be A Min’s friends, Cheng Yao realizes Deng Ming’s deliberate involvement. With the help of Cheng Xi and Wu Jun, they manage to disperse the crowd and protect Lin Fengjuan.
Meanwhile, Qian Heng, Bao Rui, and Liang Yiran hold a case analysis meeting, which ends early due to their efficient work styles. Liang Yiran suggests a celebratory dinner, and Bao Rui agrees. Qian Heng, anxious about Deng Ming’s actions, leaves the meeting early to check with Yu Fei. Cheng Yao, inspired by Qian Heng’s resilience, decides to revisit the threatening letters he received and finds strength in his past experiences.
Qian Heng, determined to address Deng Ming’s false evidence, complains to the Lawyers Association. President Zhang seeks advice from Wu Jun, who proposes an investigation and offers funding for a new plan. President Zhang, impressed by Wu Jun’s approach, agrees to proceed.
After work, Qian Heng offers to pick up Cheng Yao, surprising her. As they are about to leave, Bao Rui coincidentally passes by and suggests getting dinner together. Qian Heng, wanting to treat Cheng Yao, faces the awkwardness of Bao Rui tagging along.
During dinner, Bao Rui discovers his missing wallet, sparking concern. Cheng Yao, recalling surveillance at the airport and the court, sees an opportunity to expose Deng Ming’s actions. She rushes home to prepare the necessary documents.
The next day, Qian Heng, on an early morning flight, rushes back to the joint case handling location. He proposes an intense schedule to shorten the meeting, determined to return in time for Lin Fengjuan’s case. Liang Yiran, sensing Qian Heng’s worry, refrains from probing further.
The episode concludes with the anticipation of Qian Heng’s efforts to counter Deng Ming’s false evidence and Cheng Yao’s determination to expose the truth through surveillance footage.
